Ok tried that but i still get cpu fan error on the boot up screen. i have tried both cpu fan headers and still get the same message. will upgrade the bios tonight. tried to update the bios from the auto update but 0506 doesn't come up could you give me the link to the update page.. A cpu fan is attached on the top of the cpu heatsink and plays a crucial role in cooling down the processor. the fan cable is plugged to the special connector on the motherboard that allows a user to regulate the fan speed. basic input-output system (bios) is a special code integrated into the motherboard chip. use bios to access fan speed options.. Use one of the 4 pin system fan headers on the mb. for the power to the case fan hub. you need to plug in the cpu fan into the cpu port or you get that message every time..
