It sounds like the windows startup repair. if this computer is running windows, and if this problem doesn't go away, try holding down or repeatedly tapping the f8 key when the computer starts. So i'm on win10 with an asus motherboard. the other night i turned the mains switch off before the pc, the next morning, my pc kept freezing for 10 seconds at a time.. I have been using windows 10 for about two weeks. tonight, it entered "diagnosing pc" mode and won't get out. i tried restarting it several times, but it goes to a dark screen, windows logo, and beads circling in a loop..
Ok, here is my problem, so yesterday i normally shutted down my computer like anyone else do. and suddenly when i turn it on this messaging popped up saying "preparing automatic repair" then "diagnosing your pc'. after this, the screen shows 'your pc did not start correctly' whenever i click the restart botton, it just do samething again, i tried the advanced option aswell, and nothing happens!. I needed to go out. so decided to switch it off at the power supply. when i came back 3 hours later it flipped from auto repair into diagnosing your pc. from there i did a system restore but it was unable to complete it due to a dodgy file. so i exited that and low and behold it booted normally. what a relief..
